Pippa is a writer. She’s currently a writer in residence based at the Genomics Forum, at the University of Edinburgh.

Click on the menu at the side for examples of Pippa’s fiction, and non-fiction. Much of her writing is inspired by science, and she writes a blog on the interaction between science and literature.

News:

October 2009 - Pippa’s article ‘Literature as Experiment’ is published on Lablit.

On November 10, Pippa will be speaking at an event about astronomy and poetry at the Royal Observatory Greenwich, with Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell and the poet Kelley Swain.

July 2009 - Ken MacLeod (writer in residence at the Genomics Forum) has started an innovative website; the Human Genre Project for short stories, flash fictions and poems inspired by the human genome. Pippa’s flash fictions ‘Time Dilation’ and ‘One of the ten plagues will fall on this house’ are published on it.

April 2009 - Pippa’s story ‘The Competition for Immortality’ is published on Lablit.
